Year 6

A huge welcome from Year 6!

Miss Cox, Mrs Crawford-Scott and Year 6 are excited to welcome you to our class page.  We will be using this page to share our fantastic learning journey with you.

“Learn from yesterday, live for today and hope for tomorrow.” Albert Einstein.

In Year 6, we nurture our children’s growth in Gospel values and Catholic virtues as they prepare for the next stage of their journey. We support them to be confident, independent, and guided by their faith, while helping them achieve their academic potential. Through responsibilities in our school community, they learn service and stewardship, creating happy memories and lasting friendships to carry forward into secondary school and beyond.

Please find the links to the left that can help you with different information throughout the school year.

Under the Home Learning tab you find weekly homework and information in regards to Reading at home with your child.

Reaching out to others…

As a part of our  RE lesson on healing and looking after others, Year 6 pupils wrote inspirational letters and cards to a member of our class and to someone in America- both recovering from major surgery.

During his recovery period, Mr Bradford opened an inspirational card every morning. Mr and Mrs Bradford were so impressed by the meaningful words of encouragement that they sent all of the Year 6 pupils a bracelet, bookmark and pen. On each was inscribed: You Make a Difference.  They also sent the class a plague which will hopefully be displayed in the school’s trophy showcase.
