The St Mary’s School Council representatives for this year have been chosen by their classes and have now formed a School Council where we hold meetings to make important contributions and decisions about things that happen in school. The School Council benefits the whole school, pupils and teachers alike, because it provides opportunities for us to communicate our feelings as well as influence decisions that are made within school such as organising fundraising opportunities.
Through our meetings with Miss Carter and Mrs Bartram, we will develop key skills such as confidence, communication and decision-making. We will listen to each other, respect others opinions and work together. We also provide feedback to our classes and ask them for their ideas too so that everyone can contribute to our decisions.
