Two children from each class are chosen to receive Shining Lights each week. One child is chosen by their teacher and one is chosen by their classmates. These can be for progress, showing the school values or for a special piece of learning.
Our Shining Lights assembly is also an opportunity to celebrate children who have been living out our Gospel Value through our Heart That Sees certificates. This is awarded fortnightly and children who are awarded the certificate are invited to attend the Heart That Sees Club for a hot chocolate with Mrs Gleed-Thornley.
In addition, presentation awards are given to those children who have worked particularly hard on improving the presentation of their work across the curriculum that week. These children are able to choose a prize from the Saint Mary’s Shop. We also recognise our Sports Superstars of the week and they are presented with a certificate.
Friends and family are invited to share this celebration with us on a Friday morning. A message will be sent home if your child will be receiving an award.
