Visitors
As we approach the season of Advent, we move our learning on to preparing for Jesus. Advent is a time when we appreciate the love in our lives and prepare to celebrate love becoming a reality in the person of Jesus. Christians at Christmas celebrate the gift of Jesus, given by God as a sign and expression of God’s love. Giving and receiving reflects the truth that all life is given by God and life is given meaning through the gift of Jesus.
Within our topic of Visitors we will be thinking about our big question: Are visitors always welcome?
Journeys
Our new topic ‘Journeys’ focuses on the Church year, where we will be exploring the church seasons, finding out about the Liturgical year, researching the feast days of St Mary and Christians’ life journey of prayer. We look forward to sharing some of our wonderful learning with you over the next couple of weeks.
Within our topic of Journeys we will be thinking about our big question: Is life a journey?

Our topic ‘Listening and sharing’ focuses on listening to the Word of God and sharing Holy Communion. We will explore the different parts of Mass; the first part is the Liturgy of the Word, where Christians listen to God’s Word in the readings, listen to the homily and the prayers of the Faithful. Whilst the second part of the celebration is the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Here the gifts are prepared, the Eucharistic prayer expresses thanksgiving and Communion is shared.
