During our Creating and Covenant topic the children will be introduced to the story of Creation in Genesis 1, as a prayerful and poetic reflection on God’s world. We will retell this story through both pictures and verbal storytelling. We will then discuss the Our Father prayer and talk about what the words mean to us. During our final lessons we will discover the important role we play in caring for God’s creation and listen to the letter that Pope Francis wrote called Laudato Si’, in which he tells us of the importance of caring for the world as it is everyone’s home. We will identify some ways that we can undertake this caring role.
