Learning Project - To be completed throughout the week

Here is an overview of tasks I’d like the Year 1 children to be completing at home over the next 2 weeks.

Art

Design and create your own enchanted, woodland animal. Base your character off an existing woodland animal, accurately drawing them – before providing them with clothes, a name, their own personality & a job role within the forest!

D&T

Take part in cooking activities at home. Follow recipes to create a selection of cakes, snacks and sandwiches to host your own tea party for woodland animals from the Enchanted Forest.

PE

Take part in the daily Joe Wicks School Gym Workout at home, potentially with your family. These are uploaded daily to Joe’s Youtube channel – link can be found under the ‘Remote Learning’ tab on the school website.

Geography

Create your own map for the woodland forest. What does the forest look like? Who lives in the forest and where do they live? What pathways and rivers are available for travel? Use a combination of symbols and pictures to help accurately display the Enchanted Woodlands.

Science

Our Science topics are currently “Animals” and “Everyday Materials” for this term. Please find attached activities and resources under the ‘Remote Learning’ tab on the school website.

RE

Read the story of Easter Sunday, discussing the key events of the story and how Jesus may have felt. Discuss how the people who saw Jesus walking through the streets may have felt witnessing the event.
