Learning Project - To be completed throughout the week

Here is an overview of tasks I’d like the Year 5 children to be completing at home over the next week.

I’d love to see some of your fantastic findings- you could either email me – or tweet us @year5bsm / @bostonstmarys

Research the famous Artist Monet – create a poster to describe what their style was and what mediums they used. Once you have done this, try recreating the ‘bouquet of flowers’ as seen below.

Please access one of the links below and complete the workout / dance. I’d love to see some of your fantastic moves! – Oti Mabuse – Joe Wicks

I know some dance schools or gyms are doing online dance/gym classes.

Research the amazon rainforest. Create an information poster / leaflet / powerpoint about it’s climate and how this influences what grows there. Think about the following…

What plants grow there?

What are the weather conditions? What is the temperature?

What is the soil like?

Design your own plant pot. Make sure to annotate your plan.

Your annotations should consider – materials and their properties, drainage, colour for appearance and to attract nature, measurements – think about root systems

Upon reading and reflecting on the Genesis story, write a prayer or poem of your own. Start each line with, ‘We praise you Lord…’. Make links between the Genesis story and belief in God as creator of all. Illustrate the prayers/ poems however you see fit.

Always remember to use the internet safely and speak to an adult if you aren’t sure about something.
