Learning Project - To be completed throughout the week

Here is an overview of tasks I’d like the EYFS children

to be completing at home over the next 2 weeks.

If you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact

Understanding Our World

We are lucky to be able to visit some Zoos from the comfort of our own homes. Can you talk about the animals with your adults? What are they doing? What do they look like?

Click on the Zoo names to explore their webcams.

Head up North to Scotland to Edinburgh Zoo

Or a trip down to the South of England to Paignton Zoo

Further afield in San Diego Zoo

What do you notice about the time of day in San Diego and the time of the day in England? Can you find out where San Diego is?

Write in your Bean Diary (Each week – long term project as it grows)

Please send us your bean’s progress on Tapestry, we would love to see how they are growing.

Is your bean growing? What has happened so far?

Can you draw and label a picture of it?

Follow the instructions to draw some animals. (See reources at the bottom of the page)

Are you going to draw a fierce lion or a waddling penguin?

Download the Dear Zoo inspired songs from Twinkl which include the backing tracks.

Could you junk model an animal? Do they have legs? Or wings? Do they have patterned fur? Or feathers? What materials will you use? How can you join those materials together?

Can you move like an animal? Slither like a snake, pounce like a tiger, waddle like a penguin, flap like a parrot or stand tall like a giraffe.

Relax and unwind with some yoga from Cosmic Kids

Cosmic Kids -

Take part in the daily Joe Wicks School Gym Workout at home, why not see if your adults and siblings will join in

What did your adults at home play with when they were younger? Did they play with anything you play with today? Can they show you any of the toys they liked playing with when they were younger, maybe in a photo or online?

Meet an animal, in 3D, in your own house? Follow the instructions located in the resources below.

Could you take a photo yourself, to upload to Tapestry of something that made you smile this week?

Can you use the emojis to log into Wonde yourself?
