Boston St Mary's RC Primary Academy

Boston's Catholic School

Sports News

So far this year, St Mary's has been represented at many sporting events including football and netball matches, swimming galas and cross country events to name a few. Some of our pupils have also been orienteering. We have also had the pleasure of having coaches in from Boston Utd and Discovery Sports for our PE lessons and they've offered a range of lunchtime and after-school clubs too.

Recent Sporting News:

We were delighted with our recent win in the football match against Boston Pioneers. The teams did themselves proud, and it was an entertaining game. This was unexpectedly our final match of the season as the league was suspended following the closure of schools. When this happened, St. Mary's were in 6th equal position with Pioneers in a league of eight schools. Top of the league, when it was suspended, was Sutteron Fourfields Primary with 12 points, whilst St. Mary's had 3 points.

Well done also to our netball team who won their recent fixture away at Hawthorn Tree Primary School. Thanks to our coaches, Mr. Taylor and Miss Smart.

Well done to all of our pupils who took part in the swimming gala! We are very proud of you.

We had a lot of fun together for Sports Relief! We had a huge danceathon together on the playground, we dressed in sporty clothes and donated money to the charity too.

Thank you to everyone that collected Aldi tickets for us. We managed to complete two full posters. As a result, we now have two brand new Sports kits to use!

Our football team showed real determination and resilience when they played on despite the snowy conditions!
