Photo Gallery 20-21

At Boston St Mary's, our Catholic Life is at the forefront of everything we do and RE is part of our core curriculum. Our Gospel Values are embraced by all of our community, and we use these within our RE learning too to help us make links and give reasons in Key Stage 2.

Our staff and pupils take pride in RE lessons and learning and this can be seen through the rich and varied work produced from EYFS all the way up to Year 6.

Twice a year, we dedicate time to studying 'other faiths'. In the Advent term of each year, our pupils learn about Judaism and then in the Pentecost term they learn about either Islam, Hinduism or Sikhism. These are covered on a three-yearly cycle. Here are some wonderful examples of Rosh Hashanah cards made this year by our talented Year 6's.

Our RE displays within our classrooms, which are backed using the relevant colour of the liturgical year, are used to share key vocabulary, prayers, the 'big question' of the topic and other useful resources. They are also considered to be a special place within the classroom and are regularly used as a focus area during class liturgies.

As pupils enjoy getting involved in events within our school, CMAT and Diocesan communities. The pictures below show some of the fantastic artwork produced as part of National Youth Funday 2020, for which the theme was togetherness.
