Phonics and Reading
Please practise your phonics each day.
Please practise your Set 1 sounds daily.
Our Set 2 sounds of the week are:
'oo' and 'ar'
"look at a book" "start the car"
Please find the phonics tasks below. Our phonics session will be part of our English sessions at 9:30 each morning.
Why not have a go at a PhonicsPlay game - We are currently working our way through the sounds featured in the Phase 3 games.
Parent tips:
A small change – turning on subtitles – can make a big difference! Research shows that turning on subtitles in the same language as the TV show or film can improve children's reading skills.
Ask open-ended questions throughout your day relating to the sounds we are learning and the tricky word focus.
