PE (Wednesday afternoons)

Choose an active activity from the attached document or from the list below to complete this afternoon.

  • You could try designing your own game in the garden (e.g. an obstacle course or a throwing game - with an adults permission).
  • Cosmic Yoga - Ask an adult to help you choose a video and skip any adverts: 
  • Play an active game on a games console (e.g. Just Dance or Wii Fit)

Ask an adult to take a photo of you completing your activity of choice to submit as evidence of your learning this afternoon. We look forward to seeing what you choose to do. Submit your photo via Teams or e-mail us at



Boston School Sport Partnership fitness challenge

Matt Haslam from the Boston School Sport Partnership has devised a simple fitness challenge/log for the pupils who will be working remotely.

It is a way of keeping pupils motivated and on the move during these winter months. The activity tracker can be completed by pupils or parents. They need to record physical activity onto the sheet, it could include walking time, cycling time, in fact any type of exercise.

It is being launched by St Mary’s from Tuesday 12th January and you simply log any physical activity up to and including Monday 25th January, count the minutes you are active each day and then record the total minutes.

You can email completed logs to our: class email account.

You can start your log at a later date and complete it throughout the following 13 days. Every participant at St Mary’s will be awarded a merit, with the most active member of Key Stage 1 and the most active member of Key Stage 2 receiving 3 merits.

Matt Haslam will be collating the results and is running an inter-school competition to find the school with the most participants and the individual who does the most minutes.
