May 2016

We have already had a busy term in Year One. We launched our new topic "Splendid Skies" with a Spring walk. As you can see from the photos, we collected some of the signs of spring that we found. We are using some of these items as well as looking at the weather to inspire our work in science, art and English.

We have had a visit from the PCSO's. They told us about keeping safe when we are using the internet. We also had a chance to dress up and hear the siren on their car.

The Boston Classic Car Club came to visit, bringing six super cars with them. Their owners were extremely generous in letting the children have a real "hands-on" experience, clambering in and out, pretending to drive and even pipping on the horn. Year One had a lovely time, thank you!

Today Year One have been catching the wind in bags to inspire their poetry writing later on in the week.
