Don't forget it's our Class Mass in school next Wednesday (6th October). It would be lovely to see as many people as possible in the Hall at about 9am. Thank you for your continued support.
We visited Boston Library to learn more about our topic Tremors. We looked at a mixture of non-fiction and fiction books about natural disasters. We also made our own volcano themed bookmarks.
We have been learning about birds of prey and about the features which make them good predators such as sharp claws, a sharp beak, good eyesight etc... We used recycling to make our own eagles. Here are our creations:
Year 3 very much enjoyed making churros with Mrs Adams today. We have been learning about Spain during multicultural month and concluded by making this yummy, sugary treat. We couldn't believe how many churros we managed to make!
Today we thought about the International Day of Peace which takes place tomorrow (21.9.19). The theme this year is 'Climate Action for Peace'. We spoke about how we can make small changes to help the planet such as: turning the tap off when we brush our teeth, walking or biking to school and not dropping litter. Then we designed our own logos for the theme and drew these on the school playground!
Please can you begin to collect any clean recycling such as kitchen roll tubes, cereal boxes, margarine containers, plastic bottles etc for an exciting upcoming Design and Technology project. Many thanks.
We look forward to welcoming you to our first Class Mass of the new academic year on Wednesday 18th September in the Hall.
