Our chaplaincy team meets regularly to plan our Monday 'Gospel based' liturgy. They have become more confident in recent months to set up the hall using the correct coloured cloth based on the liturgical calendar and are also able to choose appropriate hymns for an occasion or theme too. They enjoy being creative with their liturgies and like to include role play (for example by being news reporters) where possible. They really enjoy going on the chaplaincy training with other schools in our hub and they represent our school superbly.
Our chaplaincy team also represent our school community at special events, such as the launch Mass for the St Thérèse of Lisieux Catholic Multi Academy Trust (which you can read more about by clicking on the link in the menu on the right) and the annual feast day Mass for St Thérèse.
Most recently, we were delighted to be one of two schools to represent the St Thérèse of Lisieux Catholic Multi Academy Trust at Nottingham Cathedral as part of The Dowry Tour of Our Lady of Walsingham. Although it was a long drive to Nottingham and back from Boston, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were pleased to represent our CMAT whilst joining up with other schools from the other three CMAT's within the Diocese of Nottingham. It was wonderful to spend the time with our parish priest, Fr Alex Adkins, who travelled with us via coach to this important event.
