The children have been finding out about the wonderful patterns created by the Anglo-Saxons on their jewellery, and also for printing on to clothing. 

Members of Year 4 discussed common Anglo-Saxon designs and patterns before creating their own and carving it into polystyrene printing blocks. 

They then used rollers and inks to complete the beautiful patterns you can see below. The classroom really looked like an artist's studio with everyone working with care and attention to detail. There was even ink on Mr. Cooper's shoe and trousers!
