Week Beginning 30 June 2014

Key Stage 2 attend Mass at St Mary's Church

On Wednesday 25th June Key Stage 2 set off for St Mary's church on Horncastle Road.  They were attending Mass which was led by Year 4 Pupils, the bidding prayers were written and read by pupils from Haven High.  The church was very full and it was lovely to see so many people there.  The children all spoke very well and it was a lovely atmosphere. The singing was also a treat to listen to.

Elsewhere in school the Athletics team are practising for an event at Tower road later in the week.

As we are nearing the end of term the classes are swapping over to their new teachers.  This will give them a taste of things to come in September and hopefully settle any nerves about moving on.

Year six are also in and out this week to their new secondary schools.  Prospective Haven High students have been there all week and should now be finding their way to new classrooms.  Wednesday saw the majority of students at their new schools.  We only had two children left.  It was very strange.

Dancing sessions are still continuing with Key stage 1 and Key stage 2 are perfecting their tennis skills.
