Educational visit to Whisby Nature Centre 16 Jun 2010
Location:Lincoln
Last Thursday Year 4 went on a visit to Whisby Nature Centre. This was to consolidate the unit for science entitled Habitats. Year 4 are also covering branching databases in ICT. The two units fit well together as the ICT work learns the children how to make a key on the computer. Year 4 followed a key at Whisby to find out what kind of insect they had discovered. The children had a great time pond dipping and bug hunting. They used microscopes to enable them to look at the bugs in more detail. A fantastic time was had by all and a tired class returned to school wanting to return the next day. Thanks to everyone for making the day a great sucess.
